Bio

Michelle is a freelance writer and public relations and communications strategist based in Brooklyn, NY. She has over 20 years of experience and is a recipient of the NH Union Leader 40 Under Forty honor.

She is a Peer Mental Health Co-Facilitator for the LiveWell Foundation (livewell-foundation.org). She is an Assistant Scoutmaster for Brooklyn Troop 26. She serves on the board of The Dondi White Foundation, honoring the life of her late uncle. As an artist he was one of the pioneers of the NYC graffiti movement in the 1980s.

She’s a lifelong environmental and local community advocate. She volunteers for numerous nonprofit organizations in North and South Brooklyn as a writer, researcher, special event staff and more.

She’s been published in newspapers, magazines, and journals including The Keene Sentinel, Monadnock Table Magazine, Business Monadnock, and Bossy! (getbossymag.com).

She’s a kickboxer, runner, and cyclist. She’s an enthusiastic member of the Brooklyn chapter of the November Project. The November Project™ is a free fitness movement that was born in Boston as a way to stay in shape during cold New England months (november-project.com).

While born in Brooklyn, NY, she’s also lived in Florida, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Her life circled full when she returned to NYC in the summer of 2019 after being away for 28 years. She’s excited to be back in her home borough, doing work she loves while creatively engaging her heart in helping her community.

She has a M.A. in Mass Communications/Public Relations concentration from the University of South Florida and a B.A. English/Professional Writing concentration from the University of Florida.
