Michelle Worthington is an award-winning children's author, scriptwriter and international guest speaker on the power of story. A full-time writer based in Brisbane, Australia, Michelle credits her three sons for giving her an endless source of inspiration, as well as her wrinkles.

Michelle is dedicated to encouraging a strong love of words, reading and storytelling in young children and enjoys working with charities that support the vision of empowering youth through education. Her books on diversity and inclusion have been celebrated by educators all over the world, from the MET in New York to remote county towns in the Aussie outback . As a mentor and editor, she helps aspiring authors find pathways to publication and enjoys working as part of a team in projects that are purposeful, innovative and inspirational.

Two-time winner of the International Book Award and finalist in the USA Best Book Awards, Michelle also received a Gellett Burgess Award and a Silver Moonbeam Award for her contribution to celebrating diversity in literature. Michelle was the recipient of the 2018 AusMumpreneur Gold Award for Business Excellence and the winner of the 2018 Redlands BaR award for Best Start Up Business. Her screenplays have been nominated and endorsed by the California Women’s Film Festival, Kids First! Film Festival, 4th Dimension Indie Film Awards and Beyond the Curve International Film Festival.
