Mia Doces is the VP of Innovation at Committee for Children, where she is responsible for developing new avenues for broadening the organization’s mission of fostering the social-emotional well-being of children. Prior to this role, she developed and produced social-emotional learning and anti-bullying curriculum, media and adult training that is used in more than 26,000 schools worldwide. She has worked on several youth initiatives, serving on the Washington State legislative anti-bullying work group and has advised on SEL and child safety content for organizations such as Sesame Workshop, Cartoon Network, the Born This Way Foundation and Harvard GSE’s Making Caring Common initiative. She has launched several products including: Mind Yeti, a mindfulness app for children and their adults; The Imagine Neighborhood, an award-winning SEL podcast; Purrble, a toy that helps children (and grown ups) self-regulate; and Nurture Seattle, a parent-to-parent virtual peer mentoring program.
