👩🏻‍🌾 Farmer, AmericanOliveFarmer.com 🚜✨

Former corporate executive now devoted to the production and appreciation of extra virgin olive oil and on improving my small farm.

Experienced in international sourcing, product development, and trade with over 35 years in brick & mortar and DTC businesses. I thrive on growth and change, thus built my career as a intrapreneur at start up, high growth, and/or turnaround ventures with publicly held, VC, and PE backed companies Williams-Sonoma, Cost Plus World Market, HomeChef, and Harry & David; details on LinkedIn.

Enjoying a life of exploration and discovery as an entrepreneur devoted to leaving my part of the world better through regenerative agricultural practices and following a path to ikigai. I am here to help my friends and colleagues find ikigai, too.

💂🏼‍♀️Custodian, Lucero Olive Oil brand
📖 Charter Member, Extra Virgin Alliance
🪑Board Member, UC Davis Olive Center
🪑Board Member, Olive Oil Commission of California (under the aegis of the CDFA)

🧬 I am able to check three different boxes when forms ask me to identify my race. My pronouns are she, her, hers.

I am a strong proponent of the Oxford comma, and confess that I only recently discontinued double spacing after a full stop.

🍵Professional olive oil taster,👩🏻‍⚖️ international tasting judge, and 🗣public speaker on 5️⃣ continents. I love to share, and I love to write! 🖋 Proud Mills College Alumna👩🏻‍🎓

I am from📍Oakland, CA and would like to take a moment to pay homage to the indigenous people from the land on which I was born and raised. For thousands of years what we know as Oakland was home to the Ohlone people. Contrary to early 20th century misinformation, Ohlone people still live in their ancestral lands; they are not an extinct people or tribe.

My farm is located in📍Richfield, CA on the eastern edge of what for millennia was the land belonging to the Paskenta band of the Nomlaki tribe, a sovereign nation active to this day.

🧐Why are we still saying “global warming” and “climate change”? We’re living in climate crisis! 😟
