Michael Emory began his career working in New York City as a Regional Marketing Coordinator with Netcom Systems Inc., a VAR (Value-Added Reseller), focused on the architecture, design & implementation of Cisco Systems' solutions. Michael's primary focus was spearheading an aggressive campaign to introduce and establish Cisco System's IP Telephony as the new internet protocol standard. Emory later joined Soho Digital Inc, a start-up Digital Marketing firm on the cutting-edge of Internet Advertising. His client roster of then start-ups included Netflix, Travelocity, and Esurance to name just a few. In 2006, Michael, an accomplished artist, and his husband, James Ronald Whitney, an Emmy-Award winning HBO® filmmaker, relocated cross country to Palm Springs, California and spent the latter part of that decade toggling between an array of successful, entrepreneurial ventures ranging from philanthropic projects to adrenalin-filled, third-world globetrotting in search of authentic experiences in foreign cultures up close and personally. Michael has committed his time and resources joining forces with emerging start-ups, corporate foundations, global nonprofits, and charitable organizations, engaging first-hand in social-impact businesses with the altruistic, universal hope of making the world a better place for all.
