Mecca McDonald on Clubhouse
Bio
Mecca McDonald is a passionate director, producer, and actress who has done work across a variety of mediums ranging from stage to film and web content. She studied acting at The Barrow Group and screenwriting at Jacob Krueger Studio.
In 2017, she co-founded Melanin & Magic Productions - a company devoted to telling the stories of young black women and increasing their representation on screen. Through this partnership, Mecca further realized her passion for telling stories that heal, which has led to a new YouTube series “Crush: The Series” and an upcoming short film titled “The Apartment.”
Both projects will be released under Where The Lights Are Productions - a production house by Mecca McDonald geared towards introspective stories of black love, nostalgia, and romance
