In the first half of my adult life I lived and worked around world as an entertainment professional - performing, writing, composing, drumming and acting. In my mid 30s I went back to school complete my degree at Columbia University in the City of New York - where it was quickly evident that I wasn’t nearly as smart as I’d hoped and thought I was...lol. After a stint at Princeton Theological Seminary pursuing a Masters In Divinity, I chose to leave that program prior to completion to train, and eventually become what I am today, a very happy middle school science teacher in NYC.
I’m a single, white parent of two, black, biracial children.
