Marne (silent “E”). I’m a multidisciplinary artist, thermal infrared video pioneer, and an end of life doula. My practice spans photography, video, sculpture and social practice at the intersection of art, feminism and health. I work in conceptual overlaps: life’s energy, intimacy, the body, mortality and transformation.

🔮‘The Bardo ∞ Project’ explores creativity as a form of spiritual care in my collaborations with terminally ill artists nationwide to best establish their legacy. I present relics from these journeys to illuminate the positive effects of art, and educate the public about end of life care options. Towards this work I trained to be an end of life doula to better serve my collaborators. I found death work to be a calling, and it deeply informs my artistic practice on themes of mortality and spirituality.
I’ve been working with terminally ill artists since 2015 as a self-funded endeavor. I’m seeking institutional support and investors to expand this project.

📹 I use heat-sensitive imaging technology to reference the magic and fragility of human existence, and transport the viewer to an “otherworld” space. Thermography is associated with surveillance culture, but the ‘Transmundane’ merges Art + Science in the service of fine art. My most known work is the award-winning cult erotic short film ‘The Operation’, a sci-fi patient/surgeon scenario, made with Jacob Pander. I’m working on a new film ‘Padma Mudra/Unconditional Love’.
