Bio

After 25 years in law and finance, 10 in Europe (Partner with Andersen, EY) and 10 with a single family office, I set up 360 One Firm (361Firm) as a global platform by/for family offices, CIOs and funds to collaborate in investments across asset classes by shared interests and (since 2006) alumni experiences.

We've hosted 100+ events (Conferences and Roundtables) in 55+ cities and 15 countries reaching 700+ family offices. Since March 2020, we have hosted 100+ virtual events reaching 1500+ participants.

Here is our story.

•1990s: From Denison and Michigan Law, mentors showed me the value of fostering networks. Mine provided a path to Moscow at PriceWaterhouse. Later, as a Partner at Arthur Andersen, I experienced its “One Firm” culture of global collaboration.

•2000s: In partnering with a Single Family Office in New York, I saw the “magic” first-hand that family offices can bring, and learned to partner with funds.

•2005-Present: Alumni Connecting. I founded Denison Connecting! with roundtables where all share ASKs. Our New York event grew to 280 and we took it to 15 cities. I then founded Michigan Connecting! with 600K and went through Asia and EMEA. Then we took it wider, with Alumni Connecting!

•2017-Present: In 2016, I hosted my first event for family offices in Boston, where they shared their ASKs for deals, capital or talent. By 2017, we invited funds to share insights, which led to FOs investing as LPs and into directs. With that “proof of concept”, I formed the 361 Group.

361Firm raises capital for funds (and family offices) affiliated with Stonehaven - raised $1.3B+ in 2020. We partner with the 80+ other affiliate bankers on ~100 mandates across asset classes.

361Foundation interconnects the 361 community to partner on key vetted causes such as inclusion and access to education (e.g. backing 8 to 80 Zones with Steve Young and Jerry Rice).
