Tokyo local now in LA.
Supporting Japanese immigrant owned small businesses around Southern California through an SBA funded program. Former breaking news journalist still passionate about storytelling and currently working on a long form project focused on documenting the COVID-19 impact to the ethnic enclave of Little Tokyo. Project supported by a start up grant from the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). Oh and I am also building the Tiny News Collective, a local news entrepreneurship initiative.
Free time is spent on the jiu jitsu mat choking and getting choked. Passionate about entrepreneurship, local news and public transportation.
