Maria Hellström is an entrepreneur with a strong drive and a passion for hairdressing and sustainability. Her vision is to be a leading part in changing the hair industry towards a more healthy and sustainable place.

She has been running her own business in different forms since 1996 and in 2011 she opened her first hair salon “Hairligt på Ekerö”. From start she have always had a strong enviromental focus and as her knowledge in that section grew she decided ( in 2016 ) to start a certified green salon - GREEN HEADS - on Rörstrandsgatan in Stockholm.

The certification Green Salon is a proof that the salon is not handling any harmful chemicals that can be allergenic, endocrine disruptive or environmental harmful. The certification is based on research.

Today Green Heads has grown into two salons with a total of 13 employees, a growing webbshop and B2B selling and many clients who likes to make a healthy and sustainable choise when going to the hairdresser.

Maria holds lecture in sustainable hairdressing, offers practical courses for hairdressers and are looking for partners to join GREEN HEADS to make green hairdressing grow toghether.
