Documentary filmmaker, directing a feature currently titled “FINDING THE MONEY” which traces the rise of a controversial new economic theory dubbed “Modern Monetary Theory” or MMT. Led by Stephanie Kelton, a relatable economist with a knack for public speaking, we follow her story arc from fringe and ridiculed theorist to the center of the political debate around what the US government can afford. She provocatively asserts, as the sole issuer of the US dollar Congress can never run out of money, in fact “finding the money is the easiest part!” Her mission is to turn the conventional view of money, debt, and taxes perfectly upside down.
