Mexican / Canadian composer and producer who has composed music for a number of films and TV shows specialising in children’s programming and animation. He is a Berklee College of Music Film Scoring and Songwriting graduate (2000 / 2001).

Marcelo is currently scoring the third season of the Emmy award-winning animated TV series, The Last Kids on Earth for Netflix and Atomic Cartoons.

Recent scoring credits include the Amazon Prime soccer action-animated feature film K-9 World Cup for Tricoast Studios / Amazon Studios and Disney's animated TV series Astra Force for Graphic India / Disney. Marcelo has had the fortune to befriend and be mentored by Kevin Manthei (Ultimate Spiderman, Ben 10, Transformers) and Brian Carson (Slugterra, Hot-Wheels Battle Force 5) with whom he worked as a composer assistant and music editor on Slugterra for DHX Media / Disney XD and Max Steel for Mattel.

He is also known for teaming up with Mexico's leading, multiple gold and platinum record recipient and Grammy Nominated alternative rock band Panda as an arranger, producer and on tour keyboard player and has produced, arranged and scored numerous projects over the years including Panda’s MTV Unplugged and his own award-winning solo album Todo.

Marcelo is passionate about animation and composing and producing top quality, lush, energetic and innovative scores - providing an integral part to the productions he’s worked on. Following his Leo Award for best musical score in an animation or series, he has now been recognised as the new ‘go-to’ guy for animation!

Most recently Marcelo founded El Luchador Audio a premium creator of audio tools and audio content for producers, songwriters, composers, sound designers, music students, and music fans. El Luchador Audio, proudly highlights and promotes Latin audio/music creators.

Marcelo loves going to the movies, reading and talking about technology, he tweets/posts on Instagram and YouTube constantly (@marcelotrevino). He is currently living and working in Squamish BC, Canada with his wife, 2 girls Nina and Emma and his small boy Marcelo.
