Marcellus Upshaw works with an ultra-high-net-worth clientele that includes C-suite executives, business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as professional athletes and entertainers. Marcellus draws on his personal and professional background to help clients define and develop wealth management strategies for every stage of their lives and careers, from wealth creation and preservation to leaving a legacy for family and community.

Marcellus leads a team that works in concert to design and implement financial strategies tailored to individual client needs. For business owners and entrepreneurs, these may focus on increasing enterprise value for a business sale or structuring the business for a family transfer. For athletes, preserving wealth over the long term and creating new income streams may be the key objective.

Marcellus is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) professional and holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®) designation. He played college and semi-professional basketball before starting his private wealth management career.

Marcellus graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports industry management and business. He has also completed an Executive Education course at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business for the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification. In the community, he volunteers his time and financial resources to organizations that focus on alleviating poverty, children, education, sports and marine conservation.
