Spreading awareness to help the world better understand
I always planned on following a certain path: get married, teach, and have two kids. Life was pretty ordinary and then I became a mom- the most extraordinary and rewarding job there is. I found my purpose. I knew I would always be there for them. What I didn’t know was that when my daughter was born with a rare diagnosis, Jordan’s Syndrome, my “mama bear” was hibernating and it was time for her to come out and play. This inner strength that I never knew existed showed up at just the right time- I had to be the strongest version of me to advocate for my daughter, and teach my son about acceptance, differences, and inclusion.
