Your safety is my business - that’s not achieved by accident.

It’s all about care and intuition - that’s not about just a statutory compliance duty and ticking boxes.

My background as a firefighter involved going purposefully into danger zones when others were running away from them but I loved helping others in their time of need.

As a magistrate for over 30 years, I sat in judgement on those who transgressed but that also involved helping the community and I loved that too.

Now, I am a Local Authority Councillor and once again, I’m getting stuck into helping residents, individually and the community, as a whole. I am the Chairman of both the Environmental Services Committee (Town Council), reviewing bio-diversity and carbon reduction and the Well-being Scrutiny Panel (Borough Council), currently reviewing isolation and loneliness, across all demographics.

I have been so fortunate to have had these opportunities and now, I just want to share that knowledge and experience, gained over five decades, with anyone who just cares and wants to share their experiences.
