Journalist • Capitol Correspondent at KXAN

I’ve been covering statewide stories and reporting on the Texas Legislature in Austin for more than a dozen stations across the state. I joined the Nexstar Austin Bureau at KXAN in February of 2020.

I spent my first months at KXAN covering the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes updating the public on the latest information from the Governor and other state officials, and telling impactful stories of those who have been directly affected by the virus.

Before moving to Austin, I was the weekend anchor and reporter at KAMR Local 4 News in Amarillo. I loved being able to tell the stories of people in the Panhandle, and realized I wanted to continue to cover stories that impact more Texans across the state.

I’ve had a passion for news my whole life. I grew up in the Chicago area before graduating from Marquette University in Milwaukee. I’ve interned at TODAY’S TMJ4, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee.
