SALAAM
I sleep with my light on.
Not as restful as it can be
I sleep with it on missing me
Wondering am I ok or is that gone

I tremble at reminders of Allah's power
I cry my sins into the carpet
Rock myself with Du'at
Leave room scented flower


I conquer only to learn again
To start fresh let this be my beginning
Relinquish my pride season
Stand strong against my pain


Let it rain be cleansed today
Let the Wudu wash away the sins
Prepare me for a toss in the ring
I'm not understanding much that way


Qur'an gives me so much peace
When I'm scared I run to hear
I race saying Alhamdulillah there
Afraid I'll forget I repeat and repeat


In my heart of hearts deep to my soul
I love Allah more than this abode
I cannot wait HIS rope I hold
With Everything I have with hope.
