When my husband Steve died, everything changed. He died on the summer solstice – the longest day of the year became the worst day of my life. I learned first hand the intensity of grief and the lack of understanding we have about grief, especially in the workplace. I set out on a mission to bring grief out of the shadows and hand it a microphone. My company, Grief Warrior, is my forever love letter to Steve.

Grief Warrior conducts corporate trainings and workshops on how to address grief so that grievers can be included in their workplace. We teach critical skills to enable leaders to remain relevant during difficult times. I also give speeches at companies and conferences on grief that combine storytelling and data with actionable insights. Our clients include Allbirds, Levi’s, Khan Academy, Marqeta, Weber Shandwick, Havas and more. We also provide 1:1 grief coaching, digital courses and Heartfelt Sympathy Gifts.

I have spent the last two decades running my own businesses or supporting other entrepreneurs with theirs at Intuit QuickBooks. I have spoken at many conferences including the Business Group on Health, QuickBooks Connect and the 3% Conference. I have written for Entrepreneur.com and Small Biz Daily, am a trained coach by the world-renowned Co-Active Training Institute and have an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. I am a recovering perfectionist, an aspiring meditator and the only parent to a grieving and thriving daughter.
