Wasn’t supposed to get this far.
* Lost 2 uncles from 7-8yo
* Lived in a motel for 6 months w/ parents and 2 brothers
* Lost my grandpa at 10
* 6 months later my parents split
* I came home from vacation to find my mom home alone crying
* Drugs & alcohol plagued my family
* I got hooked at 14 to drinking
* Mom did drugs, dad drank a lot
* Mom was homeless for 6 months, then recovered, then beat cancer 3 times in 6 years
* Slept in a car with her some nights
* Felt abandoned from 13-17 (lived alone with my grandma)
* Played sports year round so I didn’t have to be home
* Graduated high school (1st in family) as senior class president/top 30%
* Lost my college admission/financial aid to my dream school bc my dad wouldn’t do his taxes
* Hit rock bottom over the next year, became a drunk, depressed, crazy anxiety, & overweight
* Got back into university for 1yr then lost admission again bc of dads taxes, again
* 2013 I woke up 1 day and was disgusted. Took control of my life, changed my lifestyle, took responsibility, got back into fitness and changed my life forever
* First in family to graduate college
* Moved to Vegas, became 1 of youngest GM’a on the strip

Leadership is a privilege that not all ‘managers’ or ‘bosses’ are capable of. Approach each leadership role with the primary goal to increase the knowledge, opportunities, and successes for those YOU WORK FOR. As a leader, you work for your employees, not the other way around.
