Business Adviser, Consultant & Founder of Newcastle Startup Week / UK Startup Week / PLATFORM ⭐️

Passionate about helping people start & grow businesses & individuals fulfil their potential. I’ve spent the past 20yrs+ championing & supporting startups, scaleups & enterprise level organisations across the UK in a range of high impact roles for local enterprise agencies, youth enterprise schemes, Government organisations, international companies, academic institutions & my own business before spending just over 2yrs working in IT / Tech recruitment between November 2021-December 2023. In January 2024, I returned to running my own events, consultancy & coaching business alongside working as a Business Adviser for the North East BIC with a particular focus on Sunderland.

Founder & organiser of the 5-day Newcastle Startup Week festivals & 1-day Newcastle Scaleup Summit + monthly Founders' Friday & PLATFORM events, I was voted ‘Collaborator of the Year’ at Dynamo North East’s Dynamites awards in 2016 & 2017, was runner up in 2018 & won the 'PROFILE' category in the North East Times 'Impact Awards’ for the work I did to promote the North East business community on a regional, national & international level in 2019.

I am also co-author of the 'Small Business Marketing For Dummies' book published by Wiley in 2013 & a former semi-professional electronic dance music DJ & producer.
