Tramayne Whitney is a progressive Human Resources (HR) expert, global business advisor, and human potential coach with more than 20 years of success across the technology, consumer goods, medical tech, and automotive industries. His mantra is “Unleashing the Value in People & Organizations.”, and his broad areas of expertise include leadership and culture; organizational strategy and development; change management; and, process improvement. As an accomplished Fortune 500 HR executive, Tramayne believes that people are “the business’ and organization’s most appreciable asset that can always deliver a strong return.” This passion drives his purpose and profession.
Tramayne is currently HR-in-Residence with Talmetrix and consulting partner with HR Unwrapped and Shift the Work. Previously, he was the Director, Global People Consultants at Google where he led a global team of over 215 HR professionals in 30 countries that provided strategic, proactive, and “real time” consultation to over ~100,000 leaders, managers, and individual contributors. Through his vision, this fast-growing organization built unprecedented capacity and capability (e.g. brand building, menu of services, structure, operational excellence, talent strategy, and change management). He also led enterprise culture change, driving business outcomes through people processes, which improved employee engagement, D&I, and HR effectiveness. Previous to Google, he served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Siemens Healthineers where he developed the organization’s first-ever Ultrasound People Strategy that enabled a successful “turnaround.” He also contributed to the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process of the company.
Tramayne started his career in the automotive industry working in manufacturing (HR) for Dana Corporation and DaimlerChrysler, but honed his business and personal leadership approach while gaining increased responsibility as an HR executive working for iconic multi-national brands, such as Kellogg’s, Keebler, Sara Lee, Chiquita and Hershey’s. This era in his career afforded him the opportunity to build his business acumen by partnering with every function leader within corporations. He also rotated through front-line and specialist HR leadership roles, deepening his domain knowledge. All the while leading and building talented teams for both HR and the business.
