Luc Frachon on Clubhouse

Bio

After many years as a senior manager in marketing and sales functions in the automotive industry, Luc decided to transition to Machine Learning and Data Science in 2015, and has never looked back since.


He is currently the Data Science and AI consultant at LyRise. In that role, he manages data-centred teams and projects, and helps the company realise its vision to create opportunities for aspiring and practising data scientists in the MEA region. He is also pursuing a PhD in deep learning at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK. Finally, he is an Adjunct Professor at New Giza University, where he teaches Data Science to the next generation of Egyptian professionals.


Luc's research interests are in Neural Architecture Search, and in expanding the applications of deep learning in fields as diverse as finance, medicine, and ecology. In his personal life, he is a science and tech enthusiast, foodie, petrolhead, music lover, and just a bit of a general nerd. He lives in Cairo with his wife and children, who are his proudest achievements.
