Bio
Born and raised in Russia, I have worked as a journalist since a young age and immigrated to the US almost two decades ago in order to escape severe censorship of the journalistic field. After taking a long way around the barn, I found filmmaking, particularly directing, to be the form of storytelling I have always been searching for. I have moved to Los Angeles 6 years ago to get my MFA in Directing and since then I have directed 6 shorts and one TV pilot. I work a lot as a 1st AD and have been a Director’s assistant for one of the most iconic Hollywood female directors for the last 3 years. I am most interested in telling stories centered around unique female characters told from unique perspectives.
