My name is Paige Y. Jackson and midwifery is in my blood. Literally! My maternal great-great-grandmother, Hennritta Harris was a traditional midwife who practiced in Central Arkansas for 30+ years. Growing up hearing of her life and the lives of other Grand Midwives who journeyed this road before me, it became a mission to tell the stories so that the history nor the art of Black Midwifery would ever be lost.
Certified Nursing Assistant | I was a hospital CNA for 10 years serving in the areas of Labor/Delivery, Mother/Baby, as well as PICU & NICU.
I have also served as a:
๐ถ๐ฟ Doula
๐ถ๐พ Childbirth Educator
๐ถ๐ฝ Lactation Educator
๐ถ๐ผ Car Seat Technician
Education:
๐ฉ๐ฟโ๐Mercy In Action College of Midwifery
๐ฉ๐พโ๐Mercy Birth Center (clinicals)
๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐New Beginnings Birth Center (clinicals)
I also belong to the following organizations:
โญ๏ธ Abide Womenโs Health Services - Clinic Director
โญ๏ธ National Black Midwives Alliance
โญ๏ธ National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM) (Idaho Chapter Founding Member, Former Treasurer)
โญ๏ธ Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition Board of Directors (college years)
โญ๏ธ Idaho Midwifery Council (college years)
2021 will mark my 14th year working in maternal healthcare, and I am still loving it! If you have questions or live in the greater Dallas area, I would love to walk with you on your birth journey. Contact me today!
