When I was 51 years old my body suddenly went into heart failure. Six months later my daughter received the same diagnoses. After years of research, top cardiologists and genetic specialists could not figure out what caused the heart failure. I lived 14 months with an LVAD before I received my heart transplant on June 13, 2019. My daughter was there to take care of me 6 months after her transplant, at the same hospital, with the same doctors. We don’t know why this happened, but we live life like we mean it and hope to inspire others with our story.
