Bio

I’m a gadget junkie, with 150+ IoT devices in my home. My obsession with IoT, cloud, mobile, wireless & telecom permeates both my personal life and my professional life. I want to understand technology and know what’s coming – before anyone else! I’m a Type A extrovert, so I love to share what I learn, announcing it to the world via the press, trading secrets with industry analysts, or sharing via social media.

As an influencer, I seek to energize, educate and empower everyone I meet. As CEO of Calysto, I guide the firm’s operations, biz dev, strategic client efforts, privacy communications, the future of a connected society and long-term vision. I lead a team of senior-level PR, content, social and marketing communications professionals and have directed hundreds of strategic communications campaigns for clients.

I started in IoT in 1996, launching BellSouth’s telemetry solution, Cellemetry. I worked in automatic meter reading with ABB in 1997 and have been involved in M2M and IoT ever since. I’m most proud of Calysto’s work with John Horn & Raco Wireless, helping to launch the company, publicize it, and take it full circle to merger/acquisition.

Prepping a company for a liquidity event, M&A or IPO is my specialty. Having done it 30+ times, I excel at strategically advising clients on their business plan and mapping their marketing objectives.

I launched Calysto Communications in 1999 as the first mobile, wireless & telecom PR firm, then re-invented it in 2007 as the first global distributed content marketing, PR and social strategic firm. Calysto’s "Positioning and Messaging” framework takes business plans and sales objectives through to marketing execution.
