President and Founder of Walker Vision Consulting Inc.

Dr. LaShante Walker, is an extremely accomplished career professional. She has significant experience in the academy and education field, affording her a long-term viability and tenure in her related positions. As such, she has produced healthy, enduring results towards meeting specific strategic initiatives within higher education, church, and community organizations. But more than an administrator, Dr. Walker is a person who is an influential presence in both the academy and her local community; whose opinion as well as expertise is highly sought after; and whose judgment is respected and trusted.

LaShante Walker received her B.A. in Political Science from Arkansas State University. She continued her education at Vanderbilt University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Theological Studies. In December of 2015, she acquired her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University.

Prior to launching her consulting business, Dr. Walker served as the Provost for Academic Affairs and Student Life. Before this appointment, Dr. Walker served as the Associate Academic Dean and Director of Title III Programs at American Baptist College. Additionally, she is served as a distinguished faculty member and chair of the honor council for the college. She was responsible for the direct oversight of the HBCU grant office at American Baptist College. Under her leadership, the grant award increased from the initial amount of $500,000 in 2013 to over $2.3 million dollars in 2017-2018. And in November 2018, Dr. Walker helped secure a Summer Bridge Program grant for the institution through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission in the amount of $80,000.

In her current role as President of Walker Vision Consulting Inc., she now provides executive level coaching, leadership development, diversity and inclusion training and serves as a keynote speaker.

Her professional memberships have included ACPA College Student Educators International, NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, Title III Administrators Association, Pi Lambda Theta Professional Association in Education and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, Pencil Partner Sponsor, and Nashville Cable.

Dr. Walker is also an ordained minister and can be seen locally and nationally ministering to various congregations and women’s conferences. She is the mother of two beautiful teenage daughters.
