Sultry Singer/Songwriter/Actress/Radio Host Lakesha Bennett, known simply as LaKesha, was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. This sensual, soulful crooner has been singing from an early age and loves being on stage.

LaKesha released her debut album Deeper on Valentine’s Day 2021. Deeper is a collection of love songs that take the listener back to the heart and soul of R&B music.

Every Sunday at 8pm EST you can listen to “Lounging with LaKesha” a 30-minute internet radio program on KHAMradio.com. LaKesha plays the hottest Neo-Soul and R&B.

Her first single “Gotta Let You Go” (2013) is one of the first songs that she wrote as an aspiring artist. The song, produced by Craig McDonald, talks about being in a toxic relationship and finally deciding to let that person go. She also wrote and voiced the track “You Don’t Know Me” for Medivance Billing Service Inc.'s “Erase The Stigma Now” campaign (2013) for people with mental health and substance abuse issues.

LaKesha has shared the stage with the likes of Antigua’s Reggae Ambassador and International Recording Artist, Causion, Reggae/R&B Singer/Songwriter/Multi-instrumentalist Maurice and Reggae singers Simone-G and Sultry at their “For One Night” concert in South Florida. She has also provided background vocals as well as share the stage with gospel sensations Glacia Robinson, Abi McDonald and Kristine Alicia. LaKesha has performed across South Florida as one of the lead singers with the phenomenal Miami Soundbyte Band.
