Indigenous/ Origine/ American Indian whose ancestors are from the Nasemond Nation. I am the direct lineal descendent of Elizabeth Keziah Bass, who was my 10th G.G. Other tribes I’ve discovered I’m connected to since doing my family research are Cherokee, Nez Perce, Choctaw, Seminole, Porch Creek Muskogee, Delaware Lenni Lenape, and Wampanoag. I’m sure there will be more, as I continue to embark upon this noble calling of genealogy and family research.

My bio: Indigenous Empress XI is a spoken word poet, actress, singer, certified Independent Producer @ MNN, grassroots organizer, Entrepreneur and Investigative Journalist. Former Editor and Writer at B2B Magazine and Siyahamba Multimedia Publications.

She has done background work on the set of Malcolm X, Ali and the Interpreter, as well as industrial films centered on educating children and adolescents. In addition to performing at open mics at various venues such as The Black Lady Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Melbas, The National Black Theatre, Paris Blues, The Peace Café and Mochas, she has taken acting classes at The New Federal Theatre under the tutelage of Geoffrey Owens of The Cosby Show.

Indigenous Empress XI has a passion for working with C.B.O. to help uplift and work to change the stereotypical narrative of people of color. She believes, that by creating culture, spiritual awareness, as well as keeping our ancient traditions, we can develop positive reference points, that can be viewed through our own rose colored lenses.

She belongs to The Joseph Daniels Community Garden in Harlem. She also has a YouTube channel where her poetry is featured. She loves doing DIY projects, which includes crystal votives, Egyptian candles, body butters, lip balms, hand sanitizers, rose water, fragrances tee-shirts, cowry shell headbands and self-care kits. She also has a Facebook page for aspiring actors and actresses called Lights Cameras and Action. Her latest foray is studying genealogy and family history.👩🏾‍💻🌳📚💞
