Bio

KIRAN RAMCHANDRAN is an award-winning writer, director, and producer with over 20 years of experience in entertainment and media. After completing a MFA at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Directing -- during which his short film KID BANG earned an audience choice award at Sundance -- he went on to secure a three-picture deal with FOX Searchlight. Although they did not materialize into feature films, Ramchandran sold four other scripts to major studios, including SCROLLS.

In 2008, KIRAN left Hollywood to form his own digital media agency, alleyoop, where he led creation of cutting-edge viral branded content for companies such as eBay, Beats by Dr Dre, and Mike's Hard Lemonade. He then spent two years at Ogilvy & Mather working as an in-house commercial director. Since 2014, KIRAN has been employed full-time as the lead author of CONQUEST, a historical fiction trilogy set in the 17th century West Indies. Along with his co-creator venture capitalist Nicholas J. Pritzker, he already is crafting the material into a scripted series intended for the streaming screen, which they will begin pitching in early 2022.

KIRAN lives in Honolulu, Hawaii with his wife, author MeiMei Fox, and their twin boys. He is an avid surfer.
