Bio

King Pretti, formerly known as Pretti Sly, is a South African singer and songwriter. He is formerly from the group Git Fresh.
A self taught musician, he moved to Miami from South Africa at the age of 14 with his single mother and two siblings. His mother worked as a teacher, and stayed active in the community, teaching the importance of education to her children early on. Pretti went on to attend Barry University, eventually dropping out due to his inability to pay the steep tuition. He then had a short stint with street life, until making the decision to pursue music full time.
He credits the birth of his children, namely his daughters, and his experience as a single father, as the driving force behind the decision to prioritize his children and his musical career over the street life. Discouraged at first, due to poor management, and a misunderstood image, he began focusing his music around his vocals and instrumentals, hoping to connect with his audience as authentically as possible.
As a singer/songwriter he has gone on to tour with Flo Rida and collaborate with the likes of R Kelly, Rick Ross, and Pimp-C. His producer / brother Rudy ( Rude) who also produces for several major aritsts, has aided in creating a unique sound that resonates with today’s youth, while staying true to his passion for empowering the youth in a positive way. He is active in the Miami community.
King Pretti’s social media engagement includes a following of close to 100k fans, and his newest single “Atrocity” garnered over 30,000 streams within in its first month. His raw talent and honest lyricism converge to create a unique sound that leaves little need for gimmicks or convoluted marketing schemes. His music speaks to the youth’s search for authenticity.
