I am a seasoned real estate developer and interior designer and (on the side) I have designed and built thirteen of our family homes with my husband and survived. In 1995, my husband and I completed our first dream build (which wasn’t a dream build but led to my dream building journey). We bought a 10,000 square foot fixer-upper. Our budget was $35,000 for a complete gut rehab. It was a disaster, but we were hooked on home building.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑...

First Level: Converted 100+ multifamily buildings to high-end condominiums in Boston and Chicago.
Second Level: Bought unentitled land, raised institutional investment capital, and created an award-winning luxury home community and a custom estate golf community. Somewhere in there, we survived the 2008 crash.
Third Level: Currently building luxury homes in West Los Angeles (The Sunset Corridor from the Bird Streets to the Beach).

Bauer Design Group is a full-service interior design and construction project management firm for those who want it done for them. We've worked with successful entrepreneurs, professional athletes and billionaires to build holistic living environments.

In January 2021, I launched Dream Build Academy as an extension of our services designed to reach more people on a larger scale. It is an online educational platform with tips, trade secrets, and courses to teach you how to manage your home build like a pro.
