Bio

Hi, I’m Khaled Taki El Boumesouhli, a Moroccan film director, screenwriter and video editor.
When I was a kid, my father played a big role in my attachment to the cinema. Cause he has a Vintage 16mm Movie Projector in our house.. I grew up between 16mm film reels created inside me a strong bond with storytelling, and it posed me to trying to discover the secret behind images. My constant commute between Marrakech and Ouarzazat gave me the chance to have a closer look at the making of Hollywood films. While I was still a high school student, My first job there was to deliver water for the technicians of the GLADIATOR film.
2008. I got a diploma in editing from the Origin School in Marrakech.
In 2012 I studied at ESAV Audiovisual University in Marrakesh, and also benefited from many masters classes inside and outside Morocco by technicians and filmmakers such as the great director Martin Scorsese.
Thanks to twofour54 and Variety Magazine, In 2012 I participated in Festival Cannes after I won the Tropfest Arabia award in Abu Dhabi . My short film "One Night" was also nominated for the festival by Made in med (2013).
In 2015 I obtained a Film director Card from the Moroccan Cinema Centre (CCM)
