Bio

Katie Down, (LCAT, MT-BC, MM) is a licensed creative arts therapist, trauma-informed music psychotherapist, EMDR certified psychotherapist, sound healing practitioner, sound artist and teacher. She is the director of Sound Well Creative Arts Therapy PLLC, and professor of music therapy at SUNY New Paltz. Katie has facilitated numerous training programs in sound, sound healing, and mindfulness & deep listening workshops at local universities and hospitals and offers clinical supervision in sound and music therapy for healing arts practitioners. Katie’s interests include sound walks, acoustic ecology, deep listening meditations. She believes that it is through the act of divine play where we truly connect and grow.
