Katherine is an independent curator and contemporary arts advocate. As a longtime Board member of the Honolulu Biennial Foundation, she now serves as the Executive Director of Hawaiʻi Contemporary as the organization evolves from a biennial format to present the Hawaiʻi Triennial 2022. **Save the date to meet in Honolulu Feb 18-May 2022 for the largest global contemporary arts festival in Hawaiʻi**
Formerly the Head of Arts and Cultural Development at Asia Society Hong Kong Center, she oversaw the gallery and exhibition program, as well as the development of related arts & culture programs meeting the Center’s educational mission priorities. Prior to joining Asia Society, she worked as Head of Contemporary Ink Art at Sotheby's Hong Kong. She was a key contributor to establishing the vision for the new department at Sotheby's Asia and producing exhibitions and auctions in New York and Hong Kong. She brings over 15 years’ experience with contemporary art in Asia, working to promote cross-cultural exchange between artists and patrons primarily in New York, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Born in Maui, Katherine holds a dual-degree in Art History and East Asian Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University, and received an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
