In early 2017, Karen Gardinier became the Executive Director for an alcohol and drug medically assisted detox and in-patient treatment center in Southern California. Karen’s personal story of long-term sobriety, soul-crushing relapse and her struggle back from homelessness was paramount in helping addicts and their families find help.

Karen wanted to utilize her personal experience and new-found understanding of detox, treatment, insurance, out-patient programs, sober living and family dynamics to help as many individuals and families as she could. Using social media as her conduit, Karen is hoping to help others recover from this hopeless state of mind and body.
