Kara Shull is Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in sports performance and return-to-sport. While living and working in New York City since 2017, her education and experience comes from years of work with professional and elite athletes at pro tennis facilities and EXOS performance training centers in Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.
Working with athletes – from NFL, MLS, MLB, UFC, and aspiring Olympians, to the everyday athletes – Kara has developed a comprehensive knowledge base for evaluation, treatment and analysis of movement.
Her certifications in countless soft tissue, movement, and motor control rehabilitation techniques have allowed her to pursue her passion not only for helping people with injuries, but for teaching movement and physical literacy to youth in underserved communities.
In 2017, Dr. Shull established a not-for-profit called MOVEMENT2BE whose mission is to “Inspire Fitness in Youth” by providing physical literacy programs to establish a lifetime of fitness and health for all participants, despite socioeconomics and race. It is here that Dr. Shull is able to combine her passions for motor learning and community outreach.
