Julian Bashore, an American businessman based in Japan since 1998, serves as General Manager - Japan, Circuitry Solutions for MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions and General Manager - Japan for MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, businesses of the US-based Element Solutions Inc. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Element is a leading specialty chemicals company whose businesses formulate a broad range of solutions that enhance the performance of products people use every day. Developed in multi-step technological processes, the businesses’ innovative solutions enable customers' manufacturing processes in several key industries, including electronic circuitry, semiconductor, communication infrastructure, automotive systems, industrial surface finishing, consumer packaging and offshore energy.

He also sits on the boards of organizations such as the Japan Electronics Packaging and Circuits Association and Nagoya International School.
