❓Frequently I ask myself the question if I am prepared for the future. Mostly because I am feeling not like the best student out there. Not even speaking about a GPA or extra-curricular activities, but because of the fact that the learning methods used are difficult to follow or may not appear so effective to me.

📚Thinking about this I was wondering how our educational system functions. To my surprise, I realized that, except for differences between school systems, we all get an education on an average best working method made for an average student. But does this average student even exist? Are we not all unique in our learning and communication capabilities?

💡To help and inspire others Anouk Kreutzer and I started Discover Visually. A company with the ambition to give everyone the ability to learn and communicate in their own unique way. By providing workshops in visual communication every student, educator, and school can find the crucial balance between visual and verbal literacy that works best for them.

🔮This does not only improve the current situation but is also a great start towards the future in terms of skills and jobs. Where robots are better at remembering and routine jobs we have the human power of creativity, critical thinking, self-management, and problem-solving. All these skills of the future can be trained with visual communication.

🏆It is important to see opportunities even with the fact that it is not always welcome to hear that years of work need to change. But we have to face the fact that the 4th industrial revolution is currently slowed down by the skill gap between what is needed and what skills employees have. After overcoming this skill gap we can evolve towards society 5.0 during the 5th industrial revolution where we will have a human-centric society where everyone can excel in their unique way.

- Do a TED talk
- Change our educational system
- Own airline (kids dream and still dreaming)
