Local government co-founder and executive in Santa Barbara County, CA at the Isla Vista Community Services District. A 7+ year project in self governance, community organizing, and better government design.
Elected official since 2014, as Trustee on the Santa Barbara Community College District Board (until 2021 the youngest in California). Focused on housing, racial justice, putting students first, and supporting workers.
Executive board & platform committee member at California Democratic Party working on campaign finance reform, tuition free college, internet/free speech, and electing more and more young democrats to office.
Born and raised in mid city Los Angeles to Lebanese immigrants. 10 year Isla Vista resident.
Love to buy local and cook often, grill every weekend, run through my scenic beach town, go to the beach, play Halo after a 10 year hiatus, and (when it’s not a global pandemic) make plans with friends all over California and beyond.
