Samuel Christian, moniker “Sam Chris” (also known as Johny Bap, and Shorty) is an American singer, songwriter, composer, and CEO. As a member of the legendary Atlanta- based music collective, “The Dungeon Family”. The dynamic musical collective often described as the South’s first music Empire, his writing and production talents, and others as a featured Artist and or release, like,. he wrote and performed on “Pick Your Poison” (DIPLO ft Datsik and KAY), among many others where you didn’t know that it was Samuel Christian that wrote and or produced and performed the hook or otherwise to your favorite song from your favorite Artist. In early 2000, he met super-producer Dr. Dre (AfterMath) and later co-wrote & featured on the track titled “Muzik” (Knoc-turn’al) produced by Kanye West for Luc Besson’s hit movie “The Transporter.” The song was met with rave reviews—debuting at No.10 on Billboard’s Hip-Hop Singles Chart. Moving forward in 2002, Sam linked once again with AfterMath Records as a feature on the single “California” with artist Shaunta. This record was successively released on the soundtrack of critically-acclaimed box-office hit, “8Mile.” Moving forward, Sam sustained his progress in collaboration with another Dungeon Family member, Sleepy Brown. The cut titled, “I Can’t Wait” (2004) quickly climbed the charts and maintained a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks. From there, Sam acquired a string of noteworthy writing credits and features. To name a few, He wrote “The One” (Earth, Wind, and Fire, 2005 Grammy Nominated, ILLUMINATION); “Doctor’s Advocate” (The Game ft. Busta Rhymes and Sam Chris, 2006); “Lay You Down” (Gipp Goodie ft. Samuel Christian); “A Penny for My Thoughts” (Tash ft Samuel Christian) “LAX files” (The Game ft. Sam Chris, 2008); “You and I” (Rakim ft. & prod by Samuel Christian) 2009); “Fo Yo Sorrows” (Big Boi ft. Sam Chris, Too Short, George Clinton, 2009); “AIM” (Rick Ross ft. Sam Chris, 2010),
“No Competition” (Bun B ft Reakwon and Sam Chris, 2013) “Hey Love” (Nappy Roots ft Samuel Christian); “The Train PT2” (Big Boi ft Sam Chris)just to name a few.......
