Bio

For almost 20 years I’ve helped companies keep their customers and engage their employees. I’d like to help you do the same.

🎤 - Pre-COVID I spent most days energizing and motivating audiences in ballrooms and boardrooms around the world. Now I deliver custom-presentations to audiences remotely on topics like:

• Never Lose a Customer Again - strategies and tactics for turning one-time purchasers into lifelong customers
• Never Lose an Employee Again - ideas and systems for onboarding new employees to increase engagement and long-term retention
• The Changing F.A.C.E.S. of the Customer - trends in customer expectations and how to innovate for the future
• What’s Next - tactics for navigating customer and employee interactions in a pandemic (and post-pandemic) era

😃 - I’ve had the pleasure of educating and entertaining audiences at Whirlpool, Principal Financial, Volkswagen Australia, BASF, Deloitte, John Hancock, and Zappos (to name a few). I’ve also presented for hundreds of associations, small and medium sized businesses, and industry conferences.

📖 - My first book (Never Lose a Customer Again) was a Wall Street Journal best seller and I’m currently at work on my next book (Never Lose an Employee Again) which will be published in 2022.

🎧 - I co-host a weekly podcast on customer and employee experience called The Experience This! Show.

🗓 - Every year I work with 6-10 organizations on in-depth consulting projects to help them enhance their customer and employee experiences.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 - When not speaking to audiences around the globe, I enjoy building LEGO sets, walking in the woods, playing board games, swimming in the surf, and reading bedtime stories with my amazing wife and two young sons.

👀 - Prior to starting my business, I developed my narrative skills as a criminal defense trial attorney, taught post-graduate business courses, honed my communication and messaging skills at the White House, and did things for the U.S. Secret Service and the CIA that I can't talk about publicly. 😜

🌎 - My learning and sense of adventure is augmented by travels to 48 countries on six continents where I:
• jumped out of a perfectly functioning airplane
• raced along the Great Wall of China
• juggled in front of the Taj Mahal
• sang love songs on the Ponte Vecchio
• goose-stepped to tease the soldiers in Red Square
• dined in a tent next to the Great Pyramid of Giza
• jumped into a rushing river in Fiji
