Jonathan Morales, better known as Joe Nathan, is an American rapper born and raised in Paterson, NJ to Puerto Rican parents. Joe Nathan, the second eldest of five children (all males), began writing music at the ripe age of 13. Shortly after, at age 14, he began recording his own songs. Bringing these talents into adulthood, he has opened up for numerous established rap artists including Maino, Cassidy, Freeway, and many more. Due to his local popularity, Joe Nathan was also nominated for the Group of the Year award from 2010 - 2011 and the award for Best New Underground Artist from 2010 - 2011. In July of 2011, Joe Nathan was incarcerated for the distribution of narcotics. Returning home in September of 2012, he hit the ground running and immediately continued to record new music and pick up where he left off. He used his newfound freedom and self motivation to hone his mixing abilities, took a step back from the stage, and fine tuned the quality of his sound by focusing on the recording process. Self-driven and intrinsically motivated by his love of music, his hard work led to the release of his first full-length project, entitled “Life’s a Hustle Vol. 1” which gained over 175,000 streams on Spotify alone. The overwhelming support brought along a flood of inspiration provoking his second full-length project to be released less than a year later. “Life’s a Hustle Vol. 2” has proven that Joe Nathan has what some would call a cult-like fanbase and his numbers reflect just that. Keeping steam, he plans to come back to the stage by early 2019 with all this material, while working on his third project. Until then, fans continue to enjoy his music and videos from the comfort of their own homes as there is never a shortage of content from this diligent new artist.
