Joel Harper on Clubhouse

Bio

Growing up in an artistic household, Joel was encouraged to express himself through music and writing. His path to helping children and the planet is deeply rooted in his past. From his childhood, now raising children of his own, Joel's work and passion have been led and guided by a desire for love and connection.

Before becoming an author, publisher, and music teacher, Joel worked as a social worker at the Boys Republic. An all-boys school for adolescent youth with behavioral, educational, and emotional difficulties. Joel's time with these children was like seeds planted in his spirit for him to use as he marched forward on his walk of love and compassion.

Today, Joel continues to support his passion for building communities by managing his publishing house, Freedom Three Publishing and working with various local, national, and international environmental organizations and initiatives advocating for marine conservation and social justice.

When Joel is not writing and publishing storybooks, he enjoys playing any instrument he can get his hands on and spending time with his wife and three children on their farm. Joel understands that a deep connection to the planet is the connection we need.
