Joel Harrison is an award-winning drinks writer, communicator and consultant to the beverage business, whose work has been published in over 20 countries and 14 languages. The author of four books, in addition to writing about distilled drinks for many varied publications, Joel appears regularly on TV as a whisky and spirits expert and hosts a regular slot on the popular food and drink show Sunday Brunch with his writing partner, Neil Ridley (@neilridley)
He judges Scotch whisky and spirits for the IWSC. He is a Keeper of the Quaich in Scotch Whisky, a member of the Compagnie des Mousquetaires d’Armagnac in brandy, and a Gin Guild ‘Rectifier’, as well as having received the Freedom of the City of London, and is a Liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Distillers.
Alongside his writing work Joel is the co-founder of Caskstrength Creative, an agency working with drinks brands on new product development, naming, copywriting, strategy and market reports.
