Juneia Mallas specialises in sustainability and digital communication.
She has spent her career finding new ways to tell stories and build campaigns centred on most pressing issue of our time: climate change.
Mallas received her training at the New School, one of the America’s great avant-guard universities.
Mallas graduated to become an associate producer and researcher for dozens of environmental documentaries produced by BBC, CBC, RAI, Channel 4 and NOVA. Her work as a journalist helped put the destruction of Amazon rainforest on the international press radar in the 1980s and 1990s.
Most recently, Mallas founded and led RBG, the world’s first internet radio station for Brazilian expats, which broadcast 24/7 in 18 countries. RBG’s communication strategy, using social media and the latest live streaming technology, enabled it to scale rapidly and build an audience of over 200,000 regular listeners.
With four decades of strategic communications experience, Mallas continues to look forward to finding new ways of telling stories that challenge and transform societies.
