My mission with Imperfectly Perfect Counseling Services is to ignite awareness in our youth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Helping children learn to embrace their imperfections breeds confidence and produce freedom in loving who they are. Perfection is a misguided belief, but many children and adolescents search for it daily.
Perfectionism is the lie that the way God made you is not good enough.
The bravest thing a child can be is themselves. Perfection is not attainable and never will be, but excellence is possible. Excellence is acceptance. The way a child thinks and feels about themselves and how they respond to the world around them is their mental health.
God doesn’t make any mistakes. Imperfectly Perfect living is understanding and accepting one’s talents, strengths, limitations, and weaknesses. It is a renewing of the mind that to be perfect is an impossible attempt.
Read Psalm 139
Bloom. Shine. Grow. We are all imperfectly perfect.
