Co-founder and CEO of Serene Care

- Co-founded Serene Care having identified the asset backed opportunity within a fragmented industry with high barriers to entry that offered significant consolidation alongside the ability to create a revolution within social care
- Proven model works with the Rugby Care Centre which we purchased and turned around a failing home and implemented our vision
- Initially responsible for the financial due diligence at purchase along with co-ordinating with solicitors, agents, accountants, brokers & surveyors to ensure that the acquisition of the care home was made in the most efficient manner and transitioning smoothly
- On-going responsibilities include: Nominated Individual contact for CQC, escalation contact for residents and families, responsible for all commercial and financial aspects, oversight of extensive planned refurbishment, joint overall management of the home, its operations and employees (with a registered manager in place for the day to day management), offering leadership to shape the culture of the organisation, constantly finding ways to improve the service that we provide and effecting our vision amongst others
- Achievements include turning the Home around with resident occupancy increasing from an initial 40% to consistently 95%+, successfully passing several CQC inspections with ‘Good’ Rating and working towards Outstanding, winning awards including from the leading care home industry site www.carehome.co.uk to be ranked as one of the Top 20 care homes in the Midlands since 2017, winning a block bed contract with the local authority and trusted for rehabilitation services
