🇮🇪 Irishman currently living in Belgrade, Serbia. Managing the best multi-disciplinary Irish arts festival in the region, and beyond. I travel, learn and experience new places and people.

I think in terms of repositioning existing businesses and start-ups and in recent years, take the time to also enjoy things as they already are, (were and might be…).

I currently live in Belgrade (Serbia), second in the world only to Cork City (Ireland), that is, places where you don’t have to run so fast to stay still; I have one child and live in a wonderful blended family with my partner and her two children.

⚡I am inspired daily and pay homage to mah and pah for all the many wonderful experiences and opportunities. I believe in taking a leap and finding your way back.

🌍 More what-three-words than google maps, I see the Balkans as one of the last great adventures in an increasingly flattening European space.

⚡With global instability on the increase these days, it is probably in reality more a return to business as usual and (I guess) we just have to get on with it as it is, rather than how it was or we would like it to be.

From selling newspapers at the top of Dublin’s Grafton street when I was 12, to cleaning the paint shop in BMW’s HQ in my final year in school; to getting Bachelors in Humanities and Masters in Journalism; to working and successfully executing exit strategies from The Atlantic Hotel (Kilkee) and Concorde Travel, (Dublin) and later on in Communications in UNICEF in South Asia and UNDP in Africa, life took me to various places.

Nowadays, I’m stationed in Belgrade, Serbia, where I founded the Belgrade Irish Festival (in 2013), a showcase of modern Irish arts and culture in the Western Balkans, on a personal level it is also a great way of staying in touch with my Irish homeland.
